TORN is thrilled to be planning their third holiday trip to St. Louis, 12/27 – 1/2!

  For the third year we will be partnering with long standing ministries that are always present and impacting the people of St. Louis.

  We always are humbled to come alongside Urban K-life and their work with the youth throughout the city. The beautiful part of working year after year with the same organizations is the relationships that are built and how you see the impact of investment not only on the youth we encounter but also with the team members that come with TORN over and over. On this trip we invest through service projects, relational ministry with the youth, and pouring into the staff that are constantly pouring out into their very demanding mission field.

   We can not go to St. Louis for ministry and not stop in at the Dream Center. We walk the Mississippi River and hand out blankets, socks, warm hats and any other items that are needed. It’s amazing the ministry and conversations that happen with a simple cup of hot chocolate and the desire to truly make a difference in someone’s life. We not only get to assist on the streets, the men of the trip always get to spend at least one meal with those dealing with addiction and substance abuse through the amazing Genesis program. Sitting and sharing our freedoms found in Christ and a relationship with him, gives hope to those that are desperate to find freedom in their current struggles of bondage and addiction. 

  And Finally we have been blessed to be able to partner alongside the only remaining  operational men’s homeless shelter “The Biddle House”. Here we get to go into the shelter and just spend time with the men seeking shelter, hope, and comfort through the holidays. The one on one conversations that happen here are always impactful, not only for the men at the shelter but the team members also! Of course we can’t go and not supply Bibles and much needed hygiene items while we’re there.
